4:00pm.  The program will operate  2 1/2  hours, and conclude at 6:30 p.m.

DR. ROBERT HELLER

Dr. Robert Heller is a psychologist, sports psychology consultant, and USPTA
tennis teaching professional based in Boca Raton,Fl. As director of The Winning
Edge, and a former high school and collegiate varsity tennis player, he
specializes in helping junior and adult athletes in tennis and other sports
achieve their best both on and off the courts through mental coaching, hypnosis
and personal counseling.  

Dr. Heller’s articles and comments have appeared in numerous tennis
publications including Tennis Life, Racket Sports, ADDvantage, Baselines, ITF
Coaches Review, Tennis Pro and Florida Tennis. Dr. Heller writes the Tennis
Psychology column for the USTA Southern Newsletter and the Sports Science
Column for Florida USPTA’s Baselines. Dr.Heller is the author of TENNIS MIND,
a 2-volume CD-Rom mental conditioning program and the pocket guidebook,
“Managing Your Stress”.

Dr. Heller has served as a faculty member for the USPTA, PTR, Florida USPTA
convention and Florida High School Tennis Coaches Conference. In his work
with the USTA, he served as a consultant to a grant on teaching coping skills to
elite junior tennis players and has presented clinics to juniors, parents and
coaches at several tournament sites and training programs. In 2000, in
conjunction with the USPTA he conducted a study on “Stress and Coping in the
Tennis Teaching Profession”.

Dr. Heller has been an adjunct professor at Lynn University where he taught
courses in Sport Psychology and Applied Counseling. His website, www.
